Crepes, yum!
For Chris’s birthday last night, his mom took him (and me by extension) to Le Crepes Cafe, which is a small cafe located inside of Cafe de Paris in Columbia. They only serve Crepes and beverages, but the Cafe de Paris has a full menu, although extremely expensive- think $27 as the cheapest entree. I have never had crepes before and I must say they were delicious. For dinner I had a smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers crepe, as well as some bites of Chris’s smoked turkey and goat cheese one. They were amazing.
But then came dessert, when I got the chocolate hazelnut crepe. I must say that this is my new favorite. They will be seeing me again that’s for sure.

There is a Crepe` shop right by my work. I think they make Crepes` at least. The odd thing is they don’t take cash.

when i was in ireland i had a french roomate laeticia who made crepes all the time. it was fantastic! she would put ham and cheese on them for dinner or she would put jam or nutella on them. i didn’t really eat meat at the time (im not really sure why…it wasn’t really a conscious effort) nor did i really like nutella, so i would eat it with jam and they were tasty! she pronounced them creps instead of crapes, so now i pronounce it the way she did and annoy everyone. there is also a desserty crepe shop on penny lane in rehoboth that is delicious. yummmmm.

you know what else? i think there was a joke on curb your enthusiasm about how someones wife absolutely *must* go on this one vacation with the same plane, same restaurant at the exotic locale, and everything just because of the hazelnut crepes… and whoever’s wife it was said something like “$40 friggin dollars and only one allowed vacation destination just for some crunchy pancakes!”
